While the arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the preferred vascular access for hemodialysis, patients fears about surgery and complications often result in refusal or delay of AVF creation. A new endovascular method using magnetic catheters and radiofrequency energy to create an AVF (without open surgery) has recently been developed (everlinQ endoAVF). This endoAVF was recently studied in the Novel Endovascular Access Trial (NEAT). We report the results of the patient-reported satisfaction and perceptions on quality of life (QOL) factors (KDQOL-SF) associated with the endoAVF.
